About

ÉBA design

My Philosophy

My work blends high-level technical skill with a minimalist, clean aesthetic. I believe in pure lines and natural fibers combined for artful simplicity. This is slow fashion, designed for the elegance of everyday wear.

The Craft

Every piece is drawn, patterned, and stitched in my light-filled studio in Ottawa. I believe casual wear should be effortless and comfortable without ever compromising on elegance. With a foundation in fine arts and sculpting, I view every pattern as an opportunity to celebrate the female form through flattering lines that embrace all shapes and sizes.

The Pedigree

My expertise is built on three decades of rigorous technical experience:

  • 30 years in the wardrobe departments for film & TV.

  • More than 5 years with the Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal.

  • Sub-contracting for Cirque du Soleil and bespoke private tailoring.

This history equips me with a deep understanding of how clothing moves, lasts, and elevates the wearer.

The Process

It begins with the fabric—carefully considering composition, weight, weave, and drape. The pattern is then calibrated to harmonize the unique characteristics of the textile with the body of the wearer. From the first cut to the final stitch, I create garments intended to become the most-loved staples of your wardrobe.
